چکیده

Crowdsensing using mobile phones is a novel addition to the Internet of Things applications suite. However, there are many challenges related crowdsensing, including (1) ability manage large number users with varying devices’ capabilities; (2) recruiting reliable available in location interest at right time; (3) handling various sensory data collected different requirements and frequencies scales; (4) brokering relationship between collectors consumers an efficient scalable manner; (5) automatically generating intelligence reports after processing data. No comprehensive end-to-end crowdsensing platform has been proposed despite few attempts address these challenges. In this work, we aim filling gap by proposing describing practical implementation crowdsensing-as-a-service system dubbed CrowdPower. Our offers standard interface for management brokerage data, enabling transformation raw into valuable smart city intelligence. solution includes model selecting participants sensing campaigns based on reliability quality sensors users’ devices, then subsequently analysing provided clustering approach predict user reputation identify outliers. The also elaborate administration web portal developed visualize activities. architecture, design, backend capabilities, explain creation CrowdPower’s application that enables participate

Automated Incident Management for a Platform-as-a-Service Cloud

Cloud-based offerings such as Infrastructure-as-aservice (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), are being delivered by various vendors at highly competitive prices to encourage a paradigm shift to utility computing. To optimize the operational costs of managing an IBM Cloud-based PaaS offering, a two-pronged approach has been adopted: simplification of enterpris...

A Real-Time Information Service Platform for High-Speed Train

In this paper, a real-time information service platform for high-speed train was proposed and implemented. With this platform, all passengers of train will freely to get access by Wi-Fi or other wireless network to enjoy movie, music, train information and travel information. Besides, the platform was connected to a FPGA based data processing center to collect train operation data including ins...

Novel Computational Techniques for Incident Reporting

Incident reporting systems help users to provide information about potential safety hazards. They, therefore, represent an important subset of the wider range of applications that support process improvement. The following pages identify a range of novel computational techniques that can be used to address problems of existing reporting systems. In particular, it is argued that computerassisted...

Learning through incident reporting: time to consider a national incident reporting system.

In 1999 the United States’ Institute of Medicine (IOM) issued a report entitled ‘To Err is Human: Building a Safer Health System’ which estimated that between 44,000 and 98,000 patients die each year in US hospitals as a result of preventable medical errors. According to the report, deaths from preventable medical errors are more common than deaths due to car crashes, AIDS and breast canc...
